The first day in Anthem, the vehicles are being unpacked and your seven year old cat freaks out and runs offl
The neighbor moves and leaves a Rottie and Pit Bull in the yard, you and the neighbors feed them for three months as no one will help/both now adopted and in new homes.
A Pekingese is left on his own with magets in his food and a black pool to drink out of,he is rescued and very sick. He is treated for weeks and adopted.
The neighbor goes on vacation for a month and leaves his indoor cat outside on its own.He is prosecuted.The cat is adopted.
Two pups are found locked in a park bathroom/fostered and adopted
Two pups are thrown from an SUV late one night/fostered and with new families.
A Boxer is found with a leash oh him..in the park. No owner/now adopted.

Summer is a rough time for food banks, and this year's economy is really hurting the Foothills Food Bank. For those of you who aren't familiar with this non-profit, it is in Cave Creek. It provides emergency food assistance, gas cards, and financial help to people all over the Valley. The director Pam is a friend of mine. She has told me the food bank is seeing a lot of families from Anthem, as well as Phoenix, Cave Creek, New River, etc. They can't meet the demand. So many people need help right now.

The Foothills Food Bank is asking anyone who can help to just donate a few cans of food, set up a donation box at a business, anything. I'm going to try to get donation boxes for the food bank in some of our local grocery stores and other businesses. The food bank can arrange a pick up for those who can't drop off donations directly.

Our community is famous for being charitable, and I'm hoping that families here will be willing to help out.

HAPPY 2 HELP of Anthem is in DESPERATE need of donations to help neighbors in Anthem. We have had many urgent requests due to a story that ran last Wednesday in the Arizona Republic about our charity. I've had people call with requests to help keep gas and electric services on. HAPPY 2 HELP is a non-profit organization that help struggling families in Anthem with food, utilites, meals and more. Please help our Anthem neighbors.
